Current Priorities

Our cutting-edge research fosters a highly collaborative model of multidisciplinary scientific investigation, inspires new ideas and discoveries, and translates these more swiftly into new ways of diagnosing and treating patients and preventing disease.

We are targeting five strategic areas that combine our clinical excellence, research strengths, and commitment to patient-centered care. These key initiatives and areas of focus include: Cancer, Cardiovascular, Children's Services, Musculoskeletal and Neuroscience.

These strengths, and your continued support, allow us to provide excellent patient care to one of the most diverse populations in the world and outstanding education to the next generation of physicians.

The NYU School of Medicine, one of the nation's preeminent academic institutions, is a global leader in the education and training of physicians. It is home to more than 2,000 undergraduates, graduate students and trainees each year, drawing highly qualified applicants from around the world.

Patient Care

Patients at NYU Langone Medical Center receive world-class care from three leading hospitals: Tisch Hospital, an acute-care general hospital serving more than 35,000 inpatients annually; Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, the world's first and largest facility of its kind; and NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, an international leader in musculoskeletal care.

NYU Langone Medical Center is currently undergoing a multi-year transformation and continues to build on our 168-year-old legacy. This major campus expansion includes the new Helen L. and Martin S. Kimmel Pavilion and the refurbishment of Tisch Hospital, which will allow for significant enhancements to patient comfort and care.
